Kailash is an advocate at Supreme Court and High Court with over fifteen years of practice behind him. An impeccable record of dealing with a cross-section of high-profile clients including Union Bank of India, DDA, Indian Airlines, Indian Oil, National Textile Corporation, Ministry of Textiles, PNB, UCO Bank, State of Punjab etc. and serving as Member Executive in Bar Association of High Court of Delhi from 2005-2007 defines his professional persona. But apart from this ‘professional’ avatar, he wears several hats with élan. He is a philanthropist, educationist, an entrepreneur and a visionary.
He is the founder trustee of RCG Trust, an organization working towards the upliftment of people in Najafgarh, New Delhi; a place where his family has stayed for nine generations. This Trust is created in the loving memory of Sri Ram Chander Gahlot, who selflessly served the people of Najafgarh and wanted to make this area a symbol of development and progress. A person who strongly believes in the power of education, Kailash is the force behind Sri Ram School and Ram Chander Institute of technology; two institutions aimed towards bringing quality education to the people of Najafgarh.
He is also actively involved with Youthink, an initiative for under-privileged youth, started by him. A student leader in his youth (President of Student Union 1994-95), kailash understands what makes the youth tick. His ability to instantly connect with the young and inspire them has allowed him to device innovative ways to harness this dynamic energy and channelize it into constructive activities. This deep understanding of this section of society has lead him to initiate NPL, a sport based leadership program for school children.
An entrepreneur and a businessman, with interest in infrastructure development in Delhi NCR, he is most passionate about realizing his late father’s dream of enabling and empowering every section of Najafgarh’s society; a cause that he serves through Sri Ram Chander Gahlot Charitable Trust. This initiative touches every section and aspect of this region and has left an indelible mark upon the minds of people. Be it women and children or the elderly and infirm, everyone has benefitted by various projects being run by the Trust for their upliftment.
It is through his vision and personal involvement that the Trust touches the lives of thousands of people in this region every day. Kailash Gahlot’s untiring desire to serve the people of this region and make a difference to each and every life is the guiding force of the Trust. His innate understanding of human nature and empathy makes it possible for the Trust to pick up issues that are pertinent and central to Najafgarh’s growth.
